Hospice Clinical Liaison

Job description

Responsible for implementation of marketing plan and establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns. Accountable for new business growth and generation of appropriate referrals.

Complies with all laws and regulations, including accreditation agencies standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Director of Business Growth and Development in establishing allocations for the marketing department. Monitors allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.

Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.

Employs marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.

Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.

Builds and monitors community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of ECHO Hospice as a high quality provider of services.

Provides leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.

Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of ECHO Hospice markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.

Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel.

Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by ECHO Hospice.

Monitors and reports cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, bachelor's degree preferred.

Must be proficient in the English language

At least three (3) years experience in health care marketing management preferably in hospice care operations.

Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.

Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.

Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal hospice regulations, as well as Accreditation Agencies standards;

HIPAA regulations and other local, state, and federal protected client information regulations.

Communications, negotiation, and public relations skills

Death and Dying Process;

Emotional intelligence to deal with a variety of personalities and complex situations;

Professional communication skills when working with employees, vendors, and all outside company contacts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Hazardous Exposure Category: Category Low – exposure to blood and/or other infectious materials in liquid form is unlikely;

Lifting Requirements: Levels – sedentary, light, medium, heavy or very heavy. Medium Work: Exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
