ECHO is hiring a Payroll Administrator in handling payroll for over 800 full-time and part-time hourly and salaried employees. This role requires the ability to process payroll accurately and efficiently. Ideal candidates should have experience working with UKG or similar payroll systems.
The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 based on experience and qualifications.
This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Processes bi-weekly payroll for 800 hourly and salaried employees.
- Handles termination workflows and calculates accrual payouts.
- Assists with and verifies quarterly and annual W-2 reporting.
- Responds to payroll-related inquiries from federal and state agencies as well as credit companies.
- Assists Senior Payroll Administrator with payroll-related audits conducted annually or by federal and state agencies.
- Updates and calculates hours of sick leave and vacation accruals.
- Verifies and maintains employee timecard punch details, including recording and applying PTO hours.
- Manually calculates payroll adjustments when necessary.
- Processes supplemental pay requests and creates live checks.
- Handles payments for garnishments, child support, and tax levies.
- Creates new departments and sites while ensuring the accuracy of their reporting structures.
- Approves new hire entries and verifies that they are set up correctly in UKG as well as UTM.
- Resets employee passwords for UKG access.
- Inputs information from change forms related to promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and other employee payroll updates.
- Performs additional tasks and projects to support the operations and efficiency of the Payroll, HR, and Accounting departments.
Job Experience/Skills:
- 5 years of experience in a high-volume, multi-entity, and multi-site payroll environment.
- Proficiency with UltiPro payroll software is highly desirable.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a strong plus but not required.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting accuracy.
- Innovative approach to effective problem solving.
Education: High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
