- Analyze MRP specifications and delivery requirements to keep production material and finished goods in stock.
- Identify and resolve out of stock issues, focusing on minimizing shortage occurrences through analysis of data and review of safety stock levels and lead times.
- Optimize inventory levels by managing and analyzing purchase orders on time and at the appropriate quantities, aligning as needed with change in demand to achieve company objectives.
- Work with vendor base to resolve chronic issues such as past dues, lead time, quality, and cost.
- Identify supply chain related non-value-added costs and processes that are not financially favorable.
- Challenge and negotiate these conditions with the appropriate vendor contacts including vendor minimums, freight terms, vendor cash terms etc.
- Supplier relationship management.
- Ability to assess data and communicate to key stakeholders throughout the organization effectively.
- Utilize system-generated reports to determine priorities and areas of opportunity and to confirm/communicate results. Create ad hoc reporting when needed.
- Understand root cause of back-orders and develop plan to improve delivery date.
- Negotiate cost savings and operational efficiency programs by leveraging various sourcing activities.
- 2 years minimum, 5 years desired experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate Excel skills - Pivot Tables, V-lookups & Graphs - are preferred.
- Strong Analytical, problem solving and systems understanding required.
- Organizational Skills, managing workload.
- Ability to think systematically with proven problem solving.
- Strong interdepartmental communication, presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- MRP experience.
- BS in Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics or similar degree.
- APICS certification is a plus!
