Responsibilities
- Interpret spoken Mandarin/Chinese in real-time during meetings, events, and conversations.
- Translate written materials between Mandarin/Chinese and English, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Facilitate communication between parties by conveying messages accurately in both directions.
- Maintain professionalism and impartiality while interpreting sensitive information.
- Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant materials and terminology.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in interpretation and translation.
- Collaborate with other interpreters or team members to ensure effective communication.
Experience
- Proven experience in Mandarin/Chinese interpretation or translation is preferred.
- Strong linguistic background with proficiency in Mandarin and English.
