Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including patients, families, and healthcare providers. The role requires proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will possess strong language skills, including bilingual capabilities, and will be familiar with HIPAA regulations. The position involves interpreting medical records, conducting interviews, and ensuring accurate documentation. The Interpreter will work closely with social workers and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret for patients and healthcare providers, accurately translating verbal and written communication in multiple languages.
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with social workers and child protective services to provide culturally sensitive support to patients.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of medical terminology and terminology specific to child protective services.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.
- Provide documentation review services to ensure compliance with medical records and HIPAA regulations.
Experience:
- A minimum of two years of experience as an interpreter, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in multiple languages, including American Sign Language.
- Experience with medical records and documentation review.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and child protective services.
- A strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to interpret verbal and written communication accurately.
