- 20 ICU beds
- Montefiore Nyack is a level III Trauma center and a certified stroke center
- Medical and surgical ICU patient mix
- Adult / Peds : 100% / 0%
- EMR : Epic
- Some of the specialty cases include post-cardiac cath, Trauma, Neurosurgery, Vascular surgery, Thoracic surgery, OB&GYN, and Ortho.
- DAYS – APP coverage from 8 am to 6 pm and 24 / 7 in-house Intensivist
- Full and Temp Privileges are available
- Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants must have critical care experience
- APPs need to be highly comfortable with high acuity patients / procedures including but not limited to central lines, arterial lines, and HD cath placement
- APPs can be assigned ~10 patients
- APP responds to code blue with intensivist
- APPs lead rounds on their own patients and the intensivist will serve as a resource
