Echo Technologies is a rapidly growing company working with Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks. We are currently looking for an Installation/ QC Technician to join the team.

This role's primary responsibility is to install, maintain, and repair customer FTTX broadband and voice services. The technician will complete quality control functions for other installation technicians in the assigned area. They will also be responsible for maintaining inventory between technicians and warehouses throughout the territory. The Installation/QC Technician will typically install aerial and/or buried service drop cabling, ONTs, network interface devices (NID), and perform wiring for new or existing FTTX broadband, voice, and other subscriber services.

Requirements:

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Installing FTTX broadband service to residential and commercial customers.

· Completing both interior and exterior cabling of fiber optic and category 6 ethernet cables.

· Completing quality control checks of other technicians.

· Assigning equipment and material to customers.

· Complete purchase orders within system for vendors and distributors.

· Communicate with field personnel to assure inventory levels are sufficient.

· Reconciling inventory.

· Updating equipment associated with customers.

· Documenting process and procedure.

· Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

· Highschool diploma required (College degree preferred).

· experience in FTTX install implementation.

· Strong P.C. and Microsoft Office skills.

· Preferred :: Ability to use optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs.

· Safely operate a company vehicle.

· Strong communication skills

· Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision.

· Physically able to lift 50 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• broadband installation: 1 year (Preferred)
