Job Overview: Echo Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Excavator Operator to join our underground construction division. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in operating mini excavators (mini-x) and other heavy machinery safely and precisely near other utilities. This role is critical in helping us build and maintain infrastructure with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate mini excavators and other heavy equipment with precision on construction sites.
- Execute tasks such as grading, digging, and trenching, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with site supervisors and team members to ensure efficient project execution.
- Conduct thorough pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on all equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in operating additional machinery such as graders, water trucks, backhoes, dump trucks, and loaders as required.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with all team members about project status, safety concerns, and operational issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience and expertise in operating mini excavators (mini-x) and other heavy construction equipment.
- Deep understanding of construction processes, especially in underground settings near other utilities.
- Strong mechanical skills for conducting basic maintenance and troubleshooting on construction equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and any relevant certifications are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
