Job Summary
The Service Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing service operations, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. The Service Manager will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of service delivery, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Manage schedules and resources to meet client expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently.
- Interview, hire and train service work staff technicians to be able to manage and handle the amount of service work coming in.
- Generate sales leads and sales. Grow customer base including property managers and other potential reccurring client services such as service agreement plans.
- Supervise and check technicians' work to verify that the quality is up to the high standards we expect and our customers deserve.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Skills
- More than 3 years of plumbing management-related experience.
- Superior sales and customer service skills.
- Some post-education from college, trade school, or other.
- Prove an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the plumbing trade.
- Clean, neat, and professional appearance.
- Positive attitude and takes pride in their workmanship.
- Able and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of service management principles and practices.
- Experience with service software for efficient project completion.
- Excellent management skills, capable of leading teams toward successful outcomes.
- Ability to develop accurate job estimates based on project specifications.
