Echostar has an exciting opportunity for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) in its Hughes Network System Division . This role wills upport the Defense and IntelligenceDivision and serve as the technical expert on security andgovernment clearances for Hughes Networks Systems, LLC.
specifically concerning classified projects for the Department ofDefense (DoD), Special Access Programs (SAP) and other specialprojects.
This position will be locatedat our headquarters in Germantown,MD.
Responsibilities :
- I mplementationand administration all security policies, procedures, and securityfunctions to assure compliance with applicable laws, governmentregulations, customer requirements and companypolicies.
- Arbitratingpolicy and processes around personnel, clearances, and our facilitywith Department of Defense(DoD)
- InterpretingNISP / IC policies; develop and implement security plans andprocedures forcompliance.
- Maintaincompany Cagecode(s)
- Fostersteamwork and collaborative efforts among security group members toensure timely completion of group project tasks andresponsibilities.
- Responsiblefor security program reviews to include formalinspections.
- Investigatessecurity incidents and violations and prepare reports for submittalthrough the Director of Security to Cognizant SecurityAuthority
- Develop,maintain and conduct continuous training for all clearedpersonnel.
BasicRequirements :
- 5 years of experience with SAP and DOD
- 5 years of experience as anFSO
- Experience with 32 CFR 117 and theNISPOM
- Previous experience withU.S. government rules and regulations related to security andclassified information, to include directives and guidelines of theDepartment of Defense and the IntelligenceCommunity.
- Previous experiencemaintaining a program facility in accordance with ICD 705requirements.
- Previous experience with DISS, e-QIP, NISS, ServiceNow(NBIS).
- Experience using securetelephone equipment, i.e., COMSEC custodian, or Alt COMSECcustodian.
PreferredQualifications :
- Bachelor'sDegree
- Strong interpersonal, oralpresentation and writingskills
