We have a large Gas Distribution project running in Central and Eastern Iowa over the next few years and are seeking to hire a variety of union Laborers, Operators, Fusers, and Foremen to join our growing team. Each position varies in job duties and responsibilities. The information listed below is a broad overview of all job openings.
The Title of Position will be responsible for the following:
- Laborer: assist in all functions of the crew, follow safety regulations, ability to stay on task and remain productive, etc.
- Operator: operates different types of equipment, assist Foreman and other crew members as needed, assist in training and other crew members, etc.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the hard and soft surface restoration
- Experience in forming and pouring city sidewalks, ADA ramps, Curb and Gutter
- Able to work in changing weather conditions
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late as needed
- Willing to travel overnights during the construction season
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and maneuver in small areas
- Federal Med/Health Card
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, Class A CDL is preferred
