Electrical Consultants Inc. has immediate openings for an experienced distribution engineer in various ECI offices. The successful candidate will serve as a distribution engineer responsible for the conceptual, preliminary, and final design of overhead and underground distribution facilities ranging in voltage from 4.16 kV - 34.5 kV. Focus will be on the design of distribution systems both urban and rural.

Responsibilities include :
- Design of overhead distribution systems using PLS CADD, Stakeout or other distribution design software.
- Preparing staking sheets.
- Design of overhead line using RUS pole top and other assemblies based on client standards.
- Assembling bid package for construction of the overhead line design.
- Designing underground distribution systems.
- Knowledge of NESC and other applicable codes for the design of overhead and underground distribution systems.
Minimum Requirements :
BSEE or equivalent degree, 2 plus years of direct experience in distribution line design or a combination of experience and education. Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills are a must as candidates will be responsible for client interface and preparation of project design documents including technical design, plan & profile, (structure spotting), staking sheets, contracts, and specifications.
