Job Scope: Support marketing, outreach, and fundraising efforts by assisting with digital communications, event coordination, and administrative tasks. Manage online listings, social media engagement, and donor acknowledgments while maintaining databases and tracking outreach metrics. Collaborate with team members to create marketing materials, support community events, and enhance engagement strategies. Ensure consistency in branding and messaging while helping to streamline marketing processes. The role focuses on organizational support, digital content management, and community engagement, contributing to the visibility and impact of the organization’s mission.
Primary Responsibilities
Supports the Marketing & Development team by assisting with administrative tasks, marketing coordination, outreach, and event logistics.
Assists with updating online listings and posting event promotions, donor campaigns, and organizational updates.
Monitors social media inboxes, website inquiries, Google reviews, and general emails, flagging for follow-up by the appropriate team member.
Assists in facilitating and promoting community events, including volunteer coordination, tracking attendance, and engagement metrics.
Maintains and updates databases related to donors, outreach, and engagement.
Assists with event coordination, donor outreach, and social media posting.
Supports fundraising campaigns, donor appreciation efforts, and in-kind donation outreach.
Processes and distributes thank-you letters and acknowledgments for donors and sponsors.
Contributes to the creation of marketing and outreach materials, including graphics and digital content using Canva or similar tools.
Maintains a thorough understanding of the organization’s programs and services to assist with messaging and outreach.
Fosters positive and effective communication with staff to support a collaborative work environment.
Performs additional duties as needed to support the evolving needs of the department and organization.
Performance Requirements
Supports social media, email marketing, and online listings to enhance engagement and outreach.
Maintains accurate records, updates databases, and ensures consistency in marketing materials and communications.
Works effectively with the Marketing & Development Manager, Community Outreach Coordinator, and Technology & Digital Solutions Coordinator to support department goals.
Assists with scheduling, event logistics, volunteer coordination, and campaign execution.
Engages donors, community members, and partners through clear, professional, and persuasive messaging.
Adjusts to changing priorities, supports evolving marketing initiatives, and contributes to creative problem-solving.
Uses Microsoft 365, Canva, donor databases, and digital marketing tools to assist with outreach and content creation.
Assists with community events, tracking attendance, engaging volunteers, and ensuring smooth event logistics.
Handles sensitive information responsibly and maintains ethical standards, adhering to the Illinois Confidentiality Act and organizational policies.

Education and Experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field preferred.
Experience working with social media platforms, email marketing, and digital content management.
Familiarity with CRM systems, donor databases, and fundraising tools is a plus.
Familiarity with the nonprofit sector, particularly in areas related to the organization's mission, such as behavioral health, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Canva to create marketing materials.
Experience working with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
Experience in calendar management, event scheduling, and administrative tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage donors and community members.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, showing initiative, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Salary : $41,600 - $47,800
