DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The OA/CTS Clerk reports to the OA Manager and CTS Manager and is an hourly, non-exempt position.
- The OA/CTS Clerk performs complex administrative tasks using a personal computer.
- The OA/CTS Clerk coordinates office services and administrative activities for Job Corps center; interprets operating policies and Core Values; exercises independent judgment in the resolution of administrative problems.
- Assists the Manager with preparations and arrangements for special events.
- Establishes and maintains confidential files and records.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma with at least three years practical experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
Additional Requirements: Ability to perform administrative duties without immediate and constant supervision. Ability to type accurately at a fast speed. Proficient in the use of a personal computer; working knowledge of software applications such as MS Word, Excel. Thorough knowledge of office procedures. Good organizational skills. Ability to deal effectively with the public and government officials. Sound business telephone techniques. Ability to proofread, and correct grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors. Ability to communicate effectively and relate to the trainee population. Position requires an ability to operate office equipment. In addition, an individual must be able to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments.
