Assistant Perishable Manager for Specialty Grocer
Under the direction of the Retail Manager, responsible for maintaining fresh products and well-stocked displays at all times. To provide excellent customer service and to strive to meet sales targets. To offer creative product suggestions to coincide with seasons of Eckert’s.
Meat cutting experience preferred.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Keep display areas stocked and the product rotated according to product standards.
- Assist customers with product selection, preparation, packaging, questions and any other reasonable requests.
- Communicate regularly with the Retail Manager.
- Maintain a pleasant working relationship with entire Country Store staff.
- Responsible for taking inventory of products and maintaining reasonable inventory levels.
- Responsible for achieving margin as set by the Retail Manager.
- Inspect incoming products for quality and accuracy.
- Research and learn about seasonal produce items.
- Remove damaged or out of date products according to procedure.
- Maintain attractive department product displays and accurate signage and pricing.
- Motivate staff to achieve department goals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work station, cooler and surrounding areas.
- Follow all guidelines and procedures outlined in department and health and safety manuals and as set by the Retail Manager.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
