Eckert Seamans is a full-service national law firm with a strong reputation and history of success that spans more than 65 years. With approximately 300 lawyers across a network of 15 offices, we provide clients with proactive, solution-oriented business and litigation counsel. We are seeking an experienced Professional Liability Paralegal for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preparation of legal documents such as depositions and pleadings
- Review and analyze medical records for preparation of medical chronologies
- File documents with courts
- Summarize cases and prepare reports for attorneys
- Organization and management of documents, including managing spreadsheets and retrieval systems
- Act as liaison among various parties including court for scheduling and sharing information
- Coordinate the collection, review and production of documents and respond to discovery requests
- Assist with conducting research and investigating facts
- Assist with trial preparation including assembly of exhibits, witness binders and appendices for depositions and court filings
- Coordination of large-scale document jobs with Office Services
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Proficient in ShareFile and Kroll preferred
- Extensive experience with reviewing and organizing medical records
- Med Mal experience is preferred
Education and Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent required; college degree or Paralegal Certification from an ABA accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience
- Minimum two years substantive experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
- Must be able to stand, walk, carry, push, pull, reach, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, grasp, and kneel
