The Offshore Structural Engineer is a full-time role in Lafayette, LA. The Offshore Structural Engineer is responsible for designing steel structures related to new and existing onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. This includes structural steel skids and platforms, bridges, towers, steel buildings, cable trays, and pipe supports, as well as modification to existing structures. The Offshore Structural Engineer will ensure the technical quality and accuracy of the work produced as well as collaborate with the clients, sub-vendors, design team, and support staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
- P.E. or E.I.T. preferred
- Strong knowledge and skill with MathCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Requires the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
