Position Overview :
- This role leads and is responsible for financial reporting and technical accounting applications to include US GAAP compliance, evaluation and implementation of new accounting rules and guidance for complex transactions, internal controls support, year-end close and audit support, product cost maintenance, inventory management and management reporting among other tasks for the Bio-Sterile manufacturing facility located in Phoenix, AZ.
- This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) required by the job function.
Responsibilities :
Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesMaintain Product Costs in OracleOPM management (Copy costs, close WIP batches, run pre-processor, create accounting, and open Orgs)Update Source Org Rollup in OPMCheck for Inventory Mfg. ErrorsInventory managementSupport the Site MRB Review processPerform Inventory write-offs & reserves analysis and highlight potential risksPerform quarterly 3rd party WHSE visits, inventory count audits and monitor WHSE cycle countsMaterial disposals / destructions periodic controls verificationManufacturing overhead and absorption tracking and monthly closingManufacturing variance analysisWIP analysisPPV analysisHeadcount and Department Expense Tracking / ReportingCoordinates and record spending accruals for MRO, services and utilities.Participates in Business Unit meetings and Tiers, prepares financial results package and cost data for discussionWorks with business leaders to establish reporting and provide analysis that will assist operations in achieving and help drive performance.Fixed Assets & Capital reporting (CIP review, fixed asset reporting, depreciation calculations)Fixed Assets reporting (CIP, Spending, Capitalizations, Project Closings)CIP ReviewsDepreciation calculation & trackingAnnual Idle Fixed Assets ReviewPayroll to GL review / reconciliationBalance Sheet Account ReconciliationsBudget / Projections : Responsible for select departmentsAssists with internal and external audits, as needed.Represents Finance in the site's forums / meetings and shares financial results.Assists and supports Operational Excellence and other areas with the calculation of financial impact on opportunitiesMaintain internal control procedures as well as ensure compliance with SOXActs as the back-up for the Finance Associate Director, as required.Performs ad hoc analysis, as neededParticipates in special projects as requested and also guides and supports other team members, as neededRegular contact with the site department managers including senior leaders to discuss financial results, headcount requirements, budget and projection development.Daily contact with Finance team and internal client groups the role supports to ensure alignment with objectives.Frequent interaction with GPS Finance team at headquarters- to align and clarify doubts about monthly financial results, projection and budget requirements.Frequent interaction with Operations Business Owners for SOX internal controls and spending monitoring to ensure awareness and compliance with internal controls.Occasionally interacts with Internal and External Auditors to provide required information related to internal controls.Occasionally interacts with employees from other Client manufacturing sites to discuss new regulations and laws and ensure alignment.Limited contact with external customers, governmental officials, inspectors, vendors, and suppliers.Qualifications :
Required BA or BS in Accounting and / or Finance; CPA preferred.Minimum 3 years of Cost Accounting experience with at least 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical manufacturing finance experience.Proven analytical skills with the ability to drive strategy and understand the impact across the organization. Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbally and in writing; ability to clearly explain financial information to a variety of audiences, including non-financial stakeholders.Ability to set rigorous technical / architectural standards while speaking the language of the business to influence the strategic direction for reporting, analytics, and data quality capabilities.Team player able to interact with all levels and work on projects in a cross-functional team environment as well as interfacing effectively with corporate counterparts.Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and strong customer focus with the ability to recognize the impact of decisions on end users.Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint).Substantial understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)If hired, you will enjoy the following ECLARO Benefits :
