Eclaro's client in Phoenix is searching for an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This is a 6-month onsite contract to hire opportunity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and 2 years of prior relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Over 3 years of experience in IT cloud operations, with at least 2 years focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Must be proficient in environment management, including tasks such as refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
The role requires knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
A solid understanding of Oracle databases and patching processes is essential, as well as familiarity with various monitoring and logging tools used in cloud environments.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge, or Qualifications:
Knowledge of all infrastructure technologies (compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and open-source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS); infrastructure management tools and monitoring tools; solution sizing for hardware/software platforms; industry-standard security requirements and designs.
The role involves maintaining OCI environments, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting OCI services, as well as managing the OCI console.
Responsible for administering and supporting various modules, including patching, and performing environment refreshes, migrations, and upgrades.
Provide support for incidents and implement FinOps best practices to track cloud spending, optimize resource utilization, and enforce cost control measures.
Develop and enforce an OCI tagging strategy to ensure proper tracking and monitoring of cloud resources and traffic flows.
The position requires working within ITIL or similar frameworks to manage incidents, service requests, and change control processes effectively.
Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments highly preferred.
