Position Overview:
- Technical Server Administrator
- Seeking a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills and proficiencies working with:
- Windows Server / Desktop operating systems, user’s administration, file system, software, and services.
- Understanding of servers and various storage RAID configuration.
- Active Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup.
- Fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall.
- Fundamental understanding of security principles, ACL, Encryption.
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, ksh or Perl for automating routine tasks.
- Experienced with monitoring system health and performance, able to provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts.
- Disaster recovery planning and ability to perform backup and restore for systems, applications and data.
- Patch and firmware installation and management.
- Strong customer service mindset, providing 1 end user support experience.
Required Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate is well organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines with a safety mind set.
- Must also exercise good judgment, integrity, and render sound business decisions.
- Should possess strong oral and written communication skills and able to produce documentation on solutions and system design.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Information Technology) with a minimum of 8 years' experience in IT Support.
- Should possess strong technical knowledge of various computing platforms from servers, networks, storage including scripting experience for automation.
- Design and implementation of VMware vSphere and Nutanix environments.
- Managed Nutanix clusters.
- Nutanix Administration
- Nutanix Support Specialist
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to intrepid, modify and write scripts and SQL queries.
- Automation Scripts
