Housekeeper/Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial, residential, and industrial settings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Maintain floors through regular care, including buffing and polishing as needed.
• Ensure all restrooms are clean, stocked with supplies, and well-maintained.
• Conduct basic facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality of the building.
• Respond to custodial requests promptly and efficiently.
• Assist with special projects such as deep cleaning or seasonal maintenance.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter services is desirable but not required.

Pay: $13.59 - $15.00 per hour
