Custodian

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and stripping as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks in designated areas while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized appropriately.
• Support commercial cleaning efforts in various settings including offices, schools, and residential buildings.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all custodial duties are completed efficiently.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning will be beneficial.
• A strong understanding of safety practices related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage is essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
