As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Director of Operations to lead our production management team, ensuring seamless execution and continuous innovation.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing our production department, managing a team of event professionals, and ensuring that all aspects of event execution align with our company’s standards of excellence.

We are only considering candidates with previous director-level experience in the event industry  who have a proven track record of leading large-scale event production teams, optimizing operations, and delivering successful, high-caliber events.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide strategic leadership to the production team, including warehouse operations, inventory management, staffing, and on-site event teams.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment that aligns with company values.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Ensure open communication and alignment between the production team and leadership.

Operational Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize departmental efficiency and performance.
  • Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and operational improvements to enhance overall event execution.
  • Implement training programs to improve team skills, workflow efficiency, and industry knowledge.
  • Event Production & Execution

  • Oversee the full event production process from sales through execution, ensuring seamless transitions between teams.
  • Enforce best practices and industry standards to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and track event budgets to achieve financial objectives while maintaining high production standards.
  • Serve as an on-site producer or operations manager for high-priority events.
  • Company Initiatives & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Uphold company policies and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Work closely with leadership to share department updates, successes, and challenges.
  • Provide ongoing training and education for new and existing employees.
  • Manage credit card expense reporting and maintain accurate financial records.
  • WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2 years of director-level experience in event production, overseeing complex, high-end events.
  • Extensive background in event operations, logistics, and team leadership at an executive level.
  • Proven ability to strategically manage budgets, personnel, and workflows within a production department.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with inventory control software and knowledge of warehouse safety protocols (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts, financial reports, and client requirements.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
