Summary
This role focuses on supporting product experimentation initiatives by providing end-to-end analytical expertise. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing experiments while working with large datasets. The position requires a strong analytical background, including the ability to query, transform, and interpret data to drive data-driven experimentation decisions.
As part of the experimentation team, you will play a key role in helping business leaders and product teams optimize features and functionality through insights derived from rapid testing and iteration.
Responsibilities:
- Support ad hoc experimentation requests, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define hypotheses, success metrics, and experimental design.
- Query and manipulate large datasets to provide timely and accurate insights for ongoing and completed experiments.
- Conduct post-experiment analysis to evaluate performance, identify statistically significant outcomes, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Build and maintain scalable data solutions, including experiment tracking systems, scorecards, and dashboards.
- Partner with product teams to optimize testing frameworks and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Share findings and insights through detailed reports, presentations, and discussions with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge repository of best practices and insights from past experiments to guide future testing initiatives.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Experience: 4-8 years in data analytics with a strong focus on experimentation and data querying.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in querying large datasets using SQL or other query languages.
- Experience with A/B testing, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, including data cleaning and transformation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings effectively.
- Experimentation Expertise: Ability to design experiments, define success metrics, and account for confounding factors or common pitfalls in testing.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business objectives and how data experimentation can drive product and business outcomes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale data infrastructure (e.g., cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exposure to statistical modeling, causal inference, and machine learning frameworks.
- Prior experience in product or growth experimentation in a technology-driven environment.
In the US, the target base salary for this role is $140-160K. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors.
