As a pivotal leader within our dedicated team, you will work closely with the Site Manager to oversee and enhance the operational efficiency of our workforce solutions directly at our client’s site in O'Fallon, MO. Your mission is to manage and lead a dynamic team by example, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This role is night shift with a 10pm start time.
Your Impact: Elevate Operations
Lead & Supervise: Directly supervise and evaluate warehouse personnel on the dock, ensuring smooth daily operations, efficient load handling, and the safe use of equipment such as electronic pallet jacks and forklifts with clamp and slip attachments, and pallet jacks.
Build Relationships: Quickly form effective working relationships with warehouse staff and drivers. Your ability to connect and communicate will drive team cohesion and operational success. Work closely with the customer, managing and growing the relationship.
Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of safety through observations, incident reporting, and compliance with all safety protocols. Your vigilance will ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Operational Excellence: Oversee work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow to meet client requirements. Your focus on efficiency will enhance productivity and service quality.
Collaborate & Train: Work closely with the Site Manager to interview, hire, and train new employees. Lead training initiatives to improve employee performance and morale, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
Problem-Solve & Innovate: Be a natural problem solver, addressing operational challenges with innovative solutions and proactive strategies to maintain seamless operations.
Your Arsenal: Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of related work and supervisory experience in large inbound warehouse or distribution center environments.
- 2-3 years of 3rd Party Logistic experience desired.
- Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse equipment and ability to roll up your sleeves and pitch in with the team.
- Willingness to work in 25 to 30 degree temperatures.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining safety standards and compliance.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Forklift certification and experience with clamp and slip attachments preferred.
