Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Bookkeeper to lead our firm’s financial operations with a high degree of autonomy. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping—it is a critical financial leadership position responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and optimizing financial workflows.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in legal accounting, particularly in managing trust accounts, financial reporting, and compliance within a law firm setting. You will work closely with firm leadership to provide financial insights and maintain the financial health of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
- Trust & IOLTA Account Oversight: Ensure strict compliance with legal and ethical requirements for client trust accounts.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed financial statements, reports, and cash flow summaries for management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in financial planning, budget development, and forecasting to support strategic firm decisions.
- Process Optimization: Improve and streamline financial workflows, implementing best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
- Audit & Compliance: Lead internal audits, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
- Vendor & Payroll Management: Handle payroll processing, vendor payments, and expense tracking.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Act as a trusted financial partner to attorneys and firm leadership, providing financial insights and recommendation
Salary : $75,000 - $120,000
