Key Responsibilities:
- Anesthesia Management: Safely administer and monitor anesthesia, adjusting dosages as necessary to ensure patient safety.
- Surgical Assistance: Prepare surgical sites, handle instruments, maintain sterility, and assist veterinarians during procedures.
- Patient Monitoring: Monitor vital signs and respond to any signs of distress or complications during surgery.
- Pharmacology: Administer anesthetic and analgesic drugs with a thorough understanding of their effects and interactions.
- Critical Thinking: Quickly assess and respond to emergencies or unexpected situations in the operating room.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of patient care and procedures.
- Communication: Collaborate with veterinarians, staff, and pet owners to ensure clear understanding and care coordination.
- Compassionate Care: Provide emotional support to both animals and their owners during stressful situations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a veterinary anesthesia or surgery department.
