Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Yard Driver with computer knowledge to join our team. The Yard Driver will be responsible for maneuvering trucks within the yard, ensuring timely and safe transportation of materials and goods. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of operations and requires a strong understanding of various driving techniques, including experience with commercial vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate yard trucks to move trailers and containers within the yard.
- Perform pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as required, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and deliveries.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving in the yard.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles, including dump trucks and roll-off trucks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar truck driving role.
- Familiarity with tanker operations is a plus.

- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles, including manual transmission trucks.
- Experience with forklift operation is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
