Job Overview : ECM is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with operating and maintaining various machines to fabricate precision parts. Under minimal supervision and following established procedures, this role will CAM, fixture, setup, machine and inspect prototype parts to drawing specifications. Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision parts
- Configure machines and cutting tools to exact measurements that will produce parts in compliance with engineering designs
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and achievement of specifications
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery as necessary
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve production processes
- Ability to develop and prove out new CNC machining programs to produce complex components in accordance with engineering designs
- Ability to develop and prove out new procedures and improve existing processes for complex components
