Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing and soliciting freight from our established customer base. Key responsibilities include receiving and processing customer requests, managing freight bookings, tracking shipments, and maintaining strong customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process customer freight requests via telephone and EDI systems.
- Coordinate freight bookings with awareness of commitments and capacity.
- Monitor and maintain on-time service levels to meet customer needs.
- Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage trailer pools at customer locations and confirm accessory charges with customers.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in PC operation, including internet and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills.
- 2-3 years of customer service and transportation experience preferred.
