The Logistics Operations Associate will be responsible for managing customer relationships, processing freight requests, and ensuring timely shipment delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process customer freight requests via telephone and EDI systems, ensuring timely resolution of customer queries.
- Coordinate freight bookings, considering commitments and available capacity to meet customer needs.
- Maintain on-time service levels, working closely with customers to ensure delivery expectations are met.
- Track and trace shipments to prevent delays and ensure smooth delivery.
- Manage trailer pools at customer locations and confirm accessory charges with customers to minimize costs.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in PC operation, including internet and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills to effectively handle customer inquiries.
- 2-3 years of customer service and transportation experience preferred.
