FUNCTIONAL ROLE
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring efficient day-to-day functions, strategic planning, and overall performance, with a deep understanding of HVAC systems, industry best practices, and a focus on maximizing profitability while maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction; you will work closely with the Integrator to implement operational strategies and drive company growth across the installation division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership:
- Manage all operational aspects of the HVAC business, including project management, installation, and customer support.
- Oversee the development and implementation of operational strategies aligned with the company's vision and goals.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Team Management:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team across all departments, including sales representatives, technicians, project managers, and customer service personnel.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Train qualified staff to meet operational needs.
- Business Development:
- Develop, Implement, and Optimize operating procedures and installation standards.
- Collaborate with sales teams to build strong customer relationships.
- Customer Focus:
- Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
- Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Expertise: (Ideal but not required)
Deep understanding of HVAC systems, including design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.- Leadership Abilities:
Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve operational goals. - Strategic Thinking:
Ability to develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies aligned with business objectives. - Financial Acumen:
Strong understanding of financial analysis and budgeting principles. Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Experience in the HVAC industry, preferably with a background in field operations, sales, or project management.
- Proven leadership experience in managing large teams within a “trade(s)” company.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and cost optimization.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Good driving record (No DWI's within the past 5 years).
- Clean criminal background (No felonies within the past 7 years).
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
