Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Hotel Night Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s operations during overnight hours, including balancing financial transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the safety and security of guests and the hotel. You will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations while maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services:
- Greet and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries during the night shift.
- Handle guest complaints or issues, ensuring swift and efficient resolutions.
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
- Accounting and Financial Management:
- Perform daily end-of-day audit procedures, balancing revenue, charges, and payments.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, journal entries, and other necessary reports for management.
- Verify that all cash, credit card, and other payments are processed accurately and recorded.
- Night Operations:
- Assist with setting up or preparing the hotel for the next day’s operations.
- Ensure the proper functioning of all hotel systems and equipment.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for guest records and reports.
- Complete and submit any required nightly documentation for hotel operations.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate with day shift staff regarding any issues or follow-up needs.
- Support hotel management in any special projects or tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in hospitality or related field preferred).
- Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role is a plus.
- Strong mathematical and accounting skills.
- Basic knowledge of hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Maestro, or similar systems).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
