In the Wärtsilä Energy - ES&O Lifecycle Management, we are looking for an Agreement Manager for a growing Energy Storage market in Americas. The position will report to the Sr. Agreement Manager, Energy Storage and be based in Houston, United States although other locations can be considered. The role will be in hybrid environment with occasional traveling to customer sites or Wartsila office.

The Agreement Manager is accountable for overall performance of the assigned agreement and warranty customers including agreement renewals, upselling, customer care and lifecycle services delivery during the lifecycle of the ESS installations. This includes driving financial, operative, and technical performance of customer installations, identification of customer pain points and addressing those with corrective actions. The Agreement Manager will also secure customer investments and minimize related financial risks and ensure customer profitability by proactively identifying performance improvement measures. The Agreement Manager will work closely with the other ES&O teams to ensure a seamless process from project delivery into lifecycle support.

Accountability

  • Commercial and overall performance of assigned agreement and warranty contracts including renewals, upselling, and lifecycle margin.
  • Operative and technical performance of customer battery energy storage system, identification of customer pain points and addressing those with corrective actions.
  • Identify risks and mitigating strategies, identify performance improvement measures together with Expertise Centres and Business Line
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Collecting receivables in a timely manner

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned contracts accordance with Wärtsilä Services guidelines, the Contract Management process and general management practices in a safe and cost-effective way.
  • Implement Contract Management action plans, processes, and guidelines in the assigned responsibility area.
  • Follow-up customer satisfaction and ensure that agreed actions are taken in the area or in the assigned responsibility area.
  • Plan, budget and manage result of the work within the scope of the contract.
  • Optimize assets such as inventories, receivables, fixed assets etc. tied to the contract.
  • Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure quality of work related to the contract execution.
  • Follow up financial, operative, and technical performance through reviews and reporting and take corrective actions.
  • Maintaining customer related data in CRM.
  • Travel requirement - 20%-30% traveling to customer sites or Houston office.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, economics or similar is required for this role. Candidates must have at least five (5) years of experience in contract management and administration, preferably in the energy generation industry but other industries will be considered. Demonstrated success in managing, writing, reviewing, and negotiating large, complex, and non-standard agreements is a must. Solid knowledge of legal and contractual laws governing projects would be an advantage.
