What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at ECOJOHN?
ECOJOHN is a manufacturer of wastewater incinerators, incinerating toilets, mobile restrooms, and turnkey wastewater plants. We manufacture all products here in Arkansas, but we ship worldwide.
Position supervising all production including, on-time delivery, safety, quality, and manufacturing efficiencies in line(s) with established goals and objectives. A key attribute is the ability lead the production team and focus on lean manufacturing. This is not a sit in the office position. The right person will have a lot of energy and be in the plant and working with the lines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan out construction projects from start to finish
- Responsible for making/maintaining the monthly production schedules
- Responsible for coordinating department personnel moves to ensure production goals are met - Responsible for ensuring that product is produced at the quality level required to pass all inspections
- Responsible for continuous improvement in all departments to achieve the highest levels of efficiency possible - Responsible for making sure that shipping deadlines are met on all product orders and/or contracts - Responsible for the implementation of new product lines including department set up and ramp up schedules
- Works directly with engineers and/or contractors for any additional services needed
- Works jointly with Engineering to design any machine to improve work stations
- Promotes and maintains a safe work environment
- Constantly keep production floor clean and promotes lean manufacturing
Knowledge and Skills:
- Work experience in a fabrication shop
- Lead a construction crew
- Ability to manage multiple departments and staff in an efficient and professional manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Any CAD drawing knowledge is a bonus
- Comprehension of Lean Manufacturing Process
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills
Bonus Experience :
- Engineering background
- Working with mechanical systems (e.g., knowing mechanical concepts, troubleshooting and repairing appliances, performing basic household repair in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, operating hand tools and power tools, etc.)
- Working with electrical systems (e.g., understanding flow, wiring, outlets, etc.)
- Working with plumbing (e.g., working with drains, water supply, ice makers, shut-off valves, sweating copper, filtration systems, etc.)
- Equipment installation (e.g., HVAC, refrigeration, generators)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
