What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Chemist position at ECOLAB?
Ecolab has an immediate need for a Senior Chemist located in Fresno, TX. The Sr Chemist role and responsibilities are to support the analytical needs within the Nalco-Water RD&D Pilot Plant operations supporting research innovation, product transfer, insourcing, manufacturing, and process improvement activities. The candidate will be working directly with researchers, engineers and R&D Operators performing analytical analyses of samples utilizing the different analytical instrumentations to include lab-bench instruments, FTIR, GC's, GPC, ICP and NMR. A people-oriented personality and safety mindset with a strong verbal and written communication skills are required to work safely and collaborate with not just team members, but also personnel of various departments and groups. This role is critical to the success of the Pilot Plant operations and supports to Ecolab businesses. The successful candidate will report directly to the team Director of the RD&E process technology of Global Industrial.

What You Will Do
Attend team meetings and discussions on project objectives and analytical testing needs
Schedule and plan with team on sampling and testing of samples
Assist on raw material procurement
Understand the hazardous nature of related chemicals as outlined in SDS's
Proficient on QC lab instruments such as pH, density, Karl Fisher for moisture analysis, Brookfield viscometer, NVR, FTIR, GC's, GPC, ICP, NMR, and other wet test methods.
Take picture of samples, document, and report on team SharePoint and presentation of data
Proficient in MS Office
Minimum Requirements:
Track record on continuous improvement, safety, and inclusion culture
Degree or Advanced degree in a chemistry or related discipline.
Degree and 2 or more years or advanced degree and 1 or more years related experience.
