WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
As our Director, you’ll bring a wealth of experience and a passion for early childhood education. We’re looking for someone who is:
- Qualified: College or university degree with at least 6 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experienced: 10 years in early childhood, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Knowledgeable: You’re familiar with developmentally appropriate practices and have a deep understanding of child development
- Great Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills are key in this role
- Flexible & Adaptable: A willingness to work with varying schedules and handle changing needs
- State Certified: Must meet all state educational and licensing requirements for Director
YOUR ROLE AS A LEADER
As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of the center, ensuring a positive, high-quality educational environment. Your leadership will shape the direction of the center, influence the team, and drive operational success. Here’s what your responsibilities will look like:
- Lead the center: Oversee teaching staff, family engagement, enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives. Your leadership sets the tone for success.
- Partner with parents: Build strong relationships with parents, ensuring the best care and educational outcomes for their children.
- Create and sustain relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and corporate partners. Be the face of the center in the community.
- Guide the classrooms: Ensure teachers are following Creative Curriculum Guidelines, implementing monthly themes, and supporting individualized child development.
- Monitor child development: Directly interact with children to support their learning, play, and overall development.
- Foster teamwork: Create a collaborative, supportive environment among staff. Be a role model of teamwork and positivity.
- Supervise and evaluate staff: Support staff development by assessing progress, providing feedback, and offering ongoing guidance.
- Drive educational quality: Use assessment tools and observations to evaluate teacher performance and ensure continuous improvement.
- Continuing Education: Lead by example in committing to your own professional development and encourage the same from your team.
