Position Summary

As a Chassis Mechanic at Ecology Auto Parts Inc, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our transportation fleet. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing the chassis components of our vehicles. This includes but is not limited to suspension systems, steering mechanisms, braking systems, and tires. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will help us maintain our high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on chassis components of the company's fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues related to chassis systems.
- Repair or replace faulty chassis components, including suspension systems, steering mechanisms, braking systems, and tires.
- Conduct wheel alignments, balancing, and tire rotation to ensure optimal vehicle performance and tire life.
- Perform chassis-related welding, fabrication, and cutting tasks as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulations regarding vehicle safety standards.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to maintain an organized and efficient repair shop.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in chassis mechanics.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to create a safe working environment.

Compensation
The Chassis Mechanic position offers a highly competitive hourly range of $25 to $35 per hour.
