Glazier/Installer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glass installation and repair, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing glass in various structures, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards.

Duties

• Install, replace, and repair glass in windows, doors, and other structures.
• Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions.
• Fabricate frames and supports for glass installations.
• Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing.
• Hang doors and install hardware as needed.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform metal stud framing as required for installation projects.
• Assist with heavy lifting of materials during installations.

Skills

• Proficient in blueprint reading to accurately interpret design specifications.
• Experience in carpentry, including door hanging and drywall installation.
• Strong skills in caulking techniques for sealing installations.
• Ability to fabricate components necessary for glass installation.
• Familiarity with maintenance person tasks related to general construction work.
• Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various conditions.
