About the Role:
As a Weekend Program Supervisor at Hastings House, you’ll play a key role in guiding a passionate team working with families in our shelter program. You will ensure smooth operations over the weekend and provide essential leadership to our per diem and part-time staff. This position is vital in making sure our participants are supported and that we maintain a safe and effective environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and support weekend shelter staff, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Supervise Residential Mentors, providing feedback, coaching, and professional development.
- Handle crisis situations, provide de-escalation, and support staff in decision-making.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery to shelter participants, from intake to exit.
- Collaborate across shifts for seamless communication and program continuity.
- Provide on-site coverage when needed, including some holiday shifts.

- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly women and children in crisis.
- Understanding of domestic violence, mental health, and substance abuse.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Crisis management and conflict resolution experience.
- A team player with a flexible, positive attitude.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Bilingual skills are a plus!

Work-life balance for full time essential workers Empath offers to a four-day work week for all direct services roles, 4 days of 9-hour schedule for most direct service roles where staffing levels allow. This role would is a Part Time role – Thursday, Friday and Saturday working from 3pm to 12am and some holidays.

Pay transparency: The hourly range for this role is $25 to $28 depending on the candidate’s supervisory experience.
