What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Economic Opportunity Program, Inc.?
Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer will have responsibilities as follows:
Prepare deposits and post receipts. Assist with auditing. Attend and track minutes to various meetings (e.g. Finance Committee meeting - take notes and prepare report). Complete and prepare reconciliations to general ledger accounts (make sure the books are correct to what is in general ledger). Ensure compliance with government rules and regulations. File all vouchers, cash receipts, payroll, CFJP Bistro sales, etc. Handle queries from various sources. Help implement systems for filing, etc. Manage Accounts Payable and check processing. Manage and process payroll.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
1. High School diploma.
2. BS. Degree in Accounting or related field, with a major in bookkeeping - and-
two years' experience in bookkeeping with minimum supervision.
3. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours in order to meet deadlines.
4. Ability to wok positively with co-workers, Agency staff, clients and guests
5. Neat and clean handwriting.
6. Valid driver license; access to personal vehicle desirable.
7. Skilled in use of Excel and Word.
8. Possess good organizational skills/abilities.
