What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Specialist position at Economic Opportunity Program?
1. Coding Vouchers for entry into the GMS System.
2. Prepare E-Rate for Head Start
3. Manage account reconciliations, Ex. Bank reconciliations, general ledger, accounts payable etc.
4. Preparation of documents for the auditors during the annual audit, the retirement audit, CSBG audits, Head Start audits, DHCR audits, and CDBG audits.
5. Assist in the preparation of payroll, and the electronic employees files.
6. Preparation of various weekly, monthly, quarterly or semiannual reports.
7. Coordinates monthly and yearly closing procedures.
8. Preparation and submit to funders various reports (ex. OPWDD, Head Start, DHCR)
9. Preparing general journal entries.
10. Attend various meetings including the finance committee meeting.
11. Deal with queries from staff, funders or senior leadership.
12. Manage the sick leave pool.
13. Prepare the end of the year leave carry over and submit it to the Executive Director for approval.
14. Manage Accounts Receivable.
15. Manage the TSA account.
16. Maintain the flexible spending and the employer high deductible accounts.
17. Maintain and oversee the maintenance of the daily accounting system and resources.
18. Prepare and evaluate the cost allocation system.
19. Assist with the preparation and input into GMS of the program budgets.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $62,000.00 per year
