What we are looking for
Motivated individual who provides outstanding customer service by loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and merchandise to facilities in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks merchandise.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Under direction of supervisor, safely transports incoming and outgoing merchandise to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to handheld device, forklift, and/or electric pallet jack.
- Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing merchandise. Ensure merchandise is recorded correctly.
- Safely sorts and places merchandise on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures. Replenishes merchandise from reserves as needed.
- Picks and packs customer orders as needed.
- Removes damaged merchandise and places it in its designated area.
- Maintains proper rotation of merchandise.
- Always keep safety a priority, to include pedestrian traffic and forklift operation.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE, examples: Safety Belt, High Visibility Vest).
- Maintains a safe, clean working environment, to include maintaining a clean dock and clean aisles.
- Participates in quality improvement efforts.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
- Assists customers as needed. Provides excellent customer service.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- One year of related experience or equivalent.
- Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
- Bilingual preferred.
- High School graduate or GED
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to maintain high scanning accuracy.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
