We are seeking a junior to mid-level Oracle Programmer Analyst with recent on-premise experience with Oracle eBusiness R12.2 for an onsite role in downtown Houston TX.
**This position is a contract position with the possibility to go direct with the client. Therefore: (1) Candidates must be eligible to permanently work in the US; (2) At minimum, a graduate degree in accounting major is required for candidates seeking placement in this position**
This role will provide application support for developing and supporting customizations and extensions covering the Oracle Finance and/or Oracle Projects modules.
This position will support our business users, participate in all relevant changes management activities, and overall service delivery and customer satisfaction. This will require interaction with core business users and the need to work as a team member of a large Oracle support team.

- Oracle Database SQL writing, understand PL/SQL, Workflow and BI Publisher Report logic
- Oracle eBusiness 12.2 applicationsupport experience in Oracle Finance (AR, AP, CM, FA, GL, iSupplier) and/or Projects (Costing, Billing and Accounting)

- APEX 18.1 experience
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides application functional and limited technical support for Oracle eBusiness in Finance modules (AR, AP, GL, CM, FA, iExpense, and iSupplier)and in Projects modules (Costing, Billing, Accounting).
- Collaborates with customers to ascertain system specifications and business/technical requirements to create spec documents that meet their needs.
- Troubleshoots, identifies the underlying cause, and recommends workarounds and/or corrective actions to solve the problem.
- Use diagnostics scripts, SQL and other query writing tools to analyze data, extract data for ad hoc reporting, and identify constraints and integrity issues with data.
- Provide data correction scripts to address a defect due to inconsistent state of the data.
- Conduct conference room pilots, user acceptance testing on defect fixes, features and system improvements, ensuring acceptance criteria is met without significant impediments.
- Responsible for completion of all required Change Management tasks and relevant SOX control requirements (if applicable).
- Utilize industry accepted project management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the project life cycle.
- Acquire and utilizes business knowledge by taking advantage of available resources (internet, books, periodicals, classes/workshops, conferences, etc.) to develop and deliver business expertise solutions.
- Tracking deliverables and provide reporting to management as needed.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from a accredited university with accounting major, or 5 years of related industry is required.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting Oracle eBusiness modules. Preferably Finance and/or Oracle Projects.
- Able to review and understand programming logic constructs used in Oracle Workflow, Apex, BI Publisher Reports to learn current system state.
- 3 years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL is required.
- Able to articulate application behavior, current and future states, in a language that is understood by the end user.
