We are looking for a full-time Tool Designer with CAD Design and Automation experience.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Conceptualize new designs for custom automated manufacturing equipment.
- Design tooling and fixtures for new product assembly.
- Select and integrate pneumatic systems to achieve reliable motion for high volume applications.
- Incorporate design features for safety, ergonomics, error proofing and maintenance.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team to select and integrate electromechanical components such as servos, sensors, robots, etc.
- Create detailed CAD models and drawings with tolerances, exploded views and bills of materials.
- Conduct design reviews with internal cross functional team for feedback and to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external machine shops to fabricate custom machined parts, weldments and sheet metal components.
- Work with technician teams to assemble and commission new equipment.
- Self-manage workload while communicating schedule and status to project management.
