GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
This is a hybrid position where the individual will perform two distinct jobs based on the scheduled needs. On certain days of the week, this employee will be needed at our aftermarket installation shop in Auburn. The remainder of the days will be spent at the manufacturing facility in Rocklin assisting in the processes there.
Job 1: Installation/Part Prep Assistant for Automotive Installation Shop (Auburn) While at this location, the employee will assist the shop manager in performing installations for customers, prepping trucks and parts for bed-lining, prepping parts for paint, and polishing painted parts.
Job Duties:
- Prepping parts/truck beds for bed-lining
- Assisting in installing aftermarket accessories
- Prepping parts for painting, and secondary cleaning and buffing processes
Job 2: Manufacturing Facility (Rocklin) At this location, the employee will be given specified tasks that relate to the manufacturing of our proprietary automotive aftermarket parts. These will include operating machines, secondary finishing processes, and shipping.
Job Duties:
- Operating Thermoformers and 5 axis CNC machines
- Applying 3M tape
- Using vibration sanders and de-burring tools to finish edges of parts
- Picking and boxing orders
Ecoological manufactures truck bumper, grille, and body overlays and appliques. These parts need to be prepped for paint or bed-liner, and finished before they are shipped to our customer. This position will be responsible for assisting the lead painter with all aspects of painting the parts from sanding and prep to base coat, color coat, and clear coat, ending with quality inspection and de-nibbing and buffing. In some cases, this position would be responsible for prepping and bed-lining truck beds for dealerships, and assisting in aftermarket part installations.
Based on needs and priorities, this individual would be expected to perform a number of other tasks related to the manufacturing of the products. This can include applying 3M tape, finishing parts edges, boxing up parts for shipping, and operating manufacturing machines.
The manufacturing facility and the painting facility are in Rocklin, and Auburn respectively. The applicant for this position must be willing and able to commute to either location based on scheduled projects.
