We are looking for a Material Control Supervisor to join our team, responsible for overseeing various critical aspects of our production and logistics processes. The Material Control Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to manage a production area to ensure the team meets Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets. The Material Supervisor builds effective team relationships to cultivate a culture of safe performance and strict adherence to standard operating procedures. Responsibilities:
- Oversees all the inbound material (labeling, receiving and scanning)
- Inventory counting
- Responsible for all personnel related functions including staffing, performance appraisal, timekeeping, feedback, development, and continuous improvement.
- Assist and guide supervisory staff within departments in giving positive recognition, corrective actions, and/or issuing terminations to employees when needed.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
- Provide guidance for day-to-day operations to Production Leads as well as designating specific tasks.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by training and educating personnel on the use of equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
- Work with the Production Leads to ensure they have the tools/resources needed to complete their schedule each day.
- Manage workflow within the department to insure complete, on-time delivery of quality products to both internal and external customers.
- Conduct staff meetings as necessary and participate in monthly staff meetings.
- Develop employee culture aimed at plant cleanliness and set in place processes and programs that insure high degrees of cleanliness.
- Effective ability to interact with other staff or service areas of the company toward the goals of enhancing employee relations, reduction of turnover, serving or supporting committees.

- Analyze production capacity and demand to identify potential bottlenecks or constraints.
- Develop strategies to optimize production resources and meet customer demands.
- Create annual, monthly, and daily production plans based on annual orders and demand forecasts.
- Production Performance Management (ERP System)
- Record and monitor daily production performance in the ERP system.
- Facilitate the closing of manufacturing orders and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate on a daily basis to align production plans with target production goals.
- Oversee the management of out-of-pocket product warehousing, ensuring proper storage and inventory control.
- Register production information based on the Production Operation Plan (POP).
- Maintain accurate records of production data.
- Track equipment downtime and implement strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure minimal impact on production.
- Prepare shipping instructions and oversee the delivery process.
- Monitor daily inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
- Conduct monthly pay-off procedures to reconcile inventory.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of KD (Knock-Down) imported parts and materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 or more years production control leadership experience
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent experience is a plus
- Proficient using computerized programs, especially Microsoft Office, ERP, SAP
- Strong experience with environmental, health, and safety practices & standards
- Must be able to lift 60lbs
- Experience operating forklift, pallet jacks and other production equipment required for production control duties
- Previous manufacturing experience, preferred
- Knowledge of production tools and equipment
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
- Demonstrate ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but still able to recognize and support the organization’s mission
