After-Sales Engineer
General objective of the role
As an After-Sales Engineer of the Ecorobotix Inc. team, you will be the strategic communication point between our clients and our R&D teams. Your main role will be to ensure that our customers can carry out their tasks with our equipment at all times. Remote and field troubleshooting will be an integral part of your role. You will be relied upon to give field feedback and exercise discretion and independent judgment directly related to the after-sales management of our dealer network.
Reporting lines and interactions
This role reports directly to the Sales Manager. Internally, you will closely collaborate with other members of the after-sales team and other teams of Ecorobotix Inc. Externally, you will interact with dealers, farmers, partners, associations, trade shows, Agronomists and CCA’s.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a world-class after-sales support experience to our dealers by providing training and development and professional answers to technical questions.
- Develop and manage long-lasting relationships with dealers and end users.
- Ensure complex diagnosis and technical support over diverse areas of expertise: control software, hardware, mechanics, and field applications.
- Manage dealer warranty claims to uphold overall satisfaction.
- Collaborate internally with other departments of Ecorobotix Inc. to ensure continuous improvement of our products, services, and workflows.
- Assist in creating support and troubleshooting technical documentation for both internal and external use.
- Continuous learning on products evolution and troubleshooting procedures.
- Available to travel domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Automation, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years of proven hands-on experience in product support, troubleshooting at the dealer and/or OE level
- Certified engineer or technician in the following fields: micro-engineering, industrial systems, robotics, automation, computer science
- Experience with Linux, Bash/Python scripting is a must have
- Knowledge of C or Java are a plus
- Any knowledge in robotics, agronomy and agricultural equipment is a plus
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have a passport for international travel
- Spanish and French speaking is a plus
