Service Manager
Location: Quality Irrigation – Omaha, NE (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Overview
The Service Manager oversees both the Commercial and Residential Service Teams and is responsible for the overall performance, safety, and success of the service departments. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of irrigation systems, and the ability to manage daily service operations while supporting growth and team development.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership to both commercial and residential service teams
- Recruit, train, and evaluate field operations staff
- Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs
- Set an example for company culture, fostering morale and a productive work environment
Service Operations Management
- Plan, schedule, and manage daily service operations for irrigation systems
- Provide technical support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting guidance
- Perform quality control checks and ensure all scopes are completed accurately
- Provide estimates for elevated or custom scopes of work
- Implement and manage standard operating procedures
Business & Financial Oversight
- Monitor departmental revenue, budgets, and billing
- Use performance data to make strategic and operational decisions
- Ensure all work is billed accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with leadership to support growth and customer satisfaction
Safety & Compliance
- Oversee adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Lead preventive safety training, including weekly tailgate talks
- Monitor equipment and fleet maintenance using Fleetio
- Conduct onsite safety checks
Qualifications
Required
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, troubleshooting, and parts
- Proven ability to lead both office and field staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and at least one CRM system
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Preferred
- Experience installing custom design-build irrigation systems
- Ability to read blueprints and build to specification
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Willing and able to work in the field with service teams as needed
- Regular physical activity including bending, lifting, crawling, and digging in all weather conditions
- Frequent keyboard/computer use
- Ability to sit for extended periods when in the office
