Cal Land Engineering & Associates, Inc. is a growing provider of land surveying, civil, and geotechnical engineering services. We’re currently seeking a highly motivated Associate Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brea, CA. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Please note: Applicants must be based in the U.S. and have relevant U.S. work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure technical accuracy, adherence to standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation in reports and designs.
- Evaluate design alternatives, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with other internal divisions, including land surveying and geotechnical engineering.
- Interpret engineering specifications and drawings; recommend and document design modifications in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Assess engineering challenges, propose practical solutions, and support safe, timely, and cost-effective project execution.
- Assist the Project Manager/Principal Engineer with managing day-to-day tasks and crew workload.
What We’re Looking For
- EIT or PE certification is preferred.
- Bachelor's/Master Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 4 year of U.S. civil engineering experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Hands-on experience with site development including grading, drainage, street design, permitting, erosion control, hydrology, storm drainage, water distribution, and sewer systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $75,000 – $100,000 annually (Includes performance bonus)
